Original educational material
Passy writes its own guides, practice questions, answer choices, and explanations. We do not copy or reconstruct official exam items, recalled live exam items, or third-party question banks.
Questions first, sources before drafting
Guides begin with a real candidate question. Search and community language may help identify confusion worth answering, while current official sources determine factual exam claims. Passy then adds its own explanation, examples, comparisons, or study guidance instead of republishing a source summary.
How factual exam information is checked
- Primary sources from exam owners and testing organizations are preferred for current rules and policies.
- Official sources are linked on factual guides so readers can confirm the current detail directly.
- Community discussion may identify a question people are asking, but it is not treated as authority for an exam rule.
- Unofficial behaviors or “tricks” are labelled as unofficial and are not presented as reliable result methods.
Published and updated dates
Factual guides show their original publication date and the date of the latest material change or source review. An Updated date changes only when the content or its supporting sources have been materially reviewed.
How a guide is made
- Plan. For each exam we list the questions candidates actually ask and collect the current official documents: candidate handbooks, test plans or content outlines, fee and policy pages.
- Draft. Guides are drafted with AI assistance from that source pack and a written brief. The brief sets the reader question, the facts that must come from a source, and what the guide must not claim.
- Check. A separate review, also AI-assisted, compares the draft with the cited sources: fees, dates, item counts, scoring, policies, calculations and clinical or technical statements. Every correction it proposes is checked against the primary source before it is applied, and some are rejected.
- Test. Automated checks run before every release: each guide needs at least one official source, valid dates and metadata, internal links that lead to published pages, and descriptive link text.
- Decide. A person at Passy reviews the release package and decides whether a batch is published.
Each guide records its stage. A guide marked source-checked had its exam facts tied to the cited primary sources. A guide marked drafted went through the AI-assisted check above, but its facts have not yet been tied one by one to the sources.
How practice questions are made
The free practice sets on this site are original questions written to the current official content outline for each exam. Each question has one keyed answer and an explanation for every answer. Before release, each set is checked with AI assistance for correct keys and explanations against the outline and cited sources. We also look for patterns that give away the answer, such as the correct choice usually being the longest one. Questions never come from live exams, recalled items or other question banks.
What AI does and does not do
We use AI tools to organize research, draft guides and questions, review drafts against sources, and suggest internal links. AI does not decide what is true: a claim stays only when a cited source supports it. AI does not approve its own work, and an AI review is not described as a human or expert review anywhere on this site.
Human and specialist review
A guide is labelled human-reviewed only after a person has reviewed its content, and clinician- or expert-reviewed only after a qualified reviewer has. No published guide currently carries either label, and the decision to publish a batch is not presented as a content review. The current public guides use Passy Editorial as the author and are not presented as the work of a named outside expert.
Passy does not invent clinical reviewers, credentials, pass rates, ratings, or guarantees. Editorial attribution describes the team responsible for the material; it is not a claim of medical advice.
Keeping pages current
Review priority goes to content affected by an official test-plan, fee or policy change: when an exam owner announces a change, the affected guides, practice questions and study-plan weights are rechecked against the new document. Official rules can change between reviews, so the linked primary source remains the final authority.
If a fact looks wrong, use the Contact page. A correction changes the Updated date when the content or its sources materially change.
