Rate how each official practice domain went on your last attempt. You get a retake plan weighted by the official outline, with the practice domains you found hardest first and a schedule for every week until your retake.

Step 1 of 2

Rate how each practice domain went

Rate how each practice domain went on your last attempt. If your score report shows results by practice domain, use them; the planner doesn't need exact scores. So the priorities in your plan come from your own answers, not from an official score.

The 4 official practice domains

Leave a practice domain blank if you’re not sure. Blank ones keep their official share with a little extra time; the planner never guesses.

Step 2 of 2

Add your dates and the time you have

Used only to check the earliest retake date against the official waiting rule.

Up to 3 attempts per calendar year (January 1–December 31), since January 2026. After the official score notification, submit a re-examination application and fee; eligibility rules in effect at reapplication apply. Your answers stay in this browser tab. Passy records only that a plan was built, never your ratings or dates.

How the plan sets your priorities

Rate how each practice domain went on your last attempt. If your score report shows results by practice domain, use them; the planner doesn't need exact scores. So the planner asks you instead: the practice domains you mark as hard start your plan, mixed ones are strengthened, and confident ones get lighter review. Your answers are a self-assessment, not an official result.

Each practice domain starts from its share of the exam in the official outline, multiplied by its priority: 3× to start, 2× to strengthen, 1.5× if you leave it blank, and 1× to maintain. A quarter of your time is mixed practice across all practice domains. This is Passy’s planning method; it doesn’t estimate a score or a chance of passing.

Retake rules for the AANPCB FNP

Up to 3 attempts per calendar year (January 1–December 31), since January 2026. After the official score notification, submit a re-examination application and fee; eligibility rules in effect at reapplication apply.

  • maxAttempts is per calendar year, not lifetime.
  • No minimum waiting period is stated; a retake is possible after the official score notification arrives by email (FAQ: score letter emailed 3–5 business days after testing).
  • The FAQ shows two versions of the retest answer; one adds 'Candidates must submit a minimum of 15 continuing education hours.' The June 2026 handbook does not mention this. Unverified which applies; confirm with NPCB before stating it.
  • Retake fee $240 AANP member / $315 non-member (same as the initial exam) per aanpcert.org/certify/.
  • Other NPCB exams still allow 2 attempts per calendar year (FAQ).

Checked against official sources on October 24, 2026.
