How the plan sets your priorities
ISC2 gives candidates who don't pass a list of proficiency levels for each domain. Use that list to rate each domain below; the planner doesn't need the exact level names. So the planner asks you instead: the domains you mark as hard start your plan, mixed ones are strengthened, and confident ones get lighter review. Your answers are a self-assessment, not an official result.
Each domain starts from its share of the exam in the official outline, multiplied by its priority: 3× to start, 2× to strengthen, 1.5× if you leave it blank, and 1× to maintain. A quarter of your time is mixed practice across all domains. This is Passy’s planning method; it doesn’t estimate a score or a chance of passing.
Retake rules for the CISSP
Retest after 30 test-free days following a first failed attempt, 60 after a second, and 90 after a third or later attempt; up to 4 attempts in a 12-month period per certification program.
- minDaysBetweenAttempts is null because the wait depends on the attempt: 30, then 60, then 90 test-free days, counted from the most recent attempt.
- maxAttempts is 4 within any 12-month period, per certification program.
- Peace of Mind Protection gives two attempts within 180 days of purchase (price not listed on the CISSP page).
- An exam-only purchase must be scheduled and taken within 365 days.
