How the plan sets your priorities
Your Individual Test Report gives each subtest a score out of 20 and the percentage of questions you answered correctly in each content category, not a rating level. Use it to rate each subtest below; the planner doesn't need exact scores. So the planner asks you instead: the subtests you mark as hard start your plan, mixed ones are strengthened, and confident ones get lighter review. Your answers are a self-assessment, not an official result.
Each subtest starts from its share of the exam (each subtest is scored on its own, so all start equal), multiplied by its priority: 3× to start, 2× to strengthen, 1.5× if you leave it blank, and 1× to maintain. A quarter of your time is mixed practice across all subtests. This is Passy’s planning method; it doesn’t estimate a score or a chance of passing.
Retake rules for the HiSET
Each state or jurisdiction sets its own HiSET retest rules, including any wait, attempt limit, and fee, so check your state's requirements page before you book. Your Comprehensive Score Report keeps your highest scaled score for each subtest, so a better retake replaces a lower score.
