Praxis Core Results: Find Your Release Date and Send Scores to the Right Program

Find your official Praxis Core score-release date, distinguish unofficial results from the report, verify recipients, and confirm that your program has received your scores.

Short answer

Your official Praxis Core results arrive in your ETS account on the reporting schedule for your test, test date, and delivery method; ETS emails you when they are available. Find the estimated date during scheduling, on your pending score card, or through the ETS score calendar. An unofficial score is not the official report, and you should confirm both your selected recipients and your program's receipt of the required scores.

When will your official Praxis Core results appear?

Your official Praxis Core results appear in your ETS account, and ETS sends an email when they are available. According to ETS, the reporting date depends on the test, test date, and delivery method, so use its score calendar or the estimated date in your account instead of a single turnaround estimate for every Core appointment.

The ETS Getting Your Scores page, checked November 3, 2026, says scores are published on Tuesdays and Fridays, with holidays moving publication to the following scheduled Tuesday or Friday. That pattern does not identify your own release date. The calendar needs your particular test, date, and choice of at-home or test-center delivery.

Keep three milestones separate: the end-of-test display, the official report becoming available, and your institution confirming receipt. Only the second is the ETS release date. Ask your program how much processing time it needs after receiving scores; do not assume that an ETS publication date is also the day your application will be complete.

For a deadline in 2027, repeat the live lookup when you schedule. The dates must come from ETS for the actual appointment, not from an assumed future calendar.

Why might you see an unofficial score for only some tests?

ETS says selected-response-only tests may show an unofficial score at the end of the session. Tests with constructed responses do not provide an unofficial score. Core Writing includes essays, so you should not expect its official result on the end-of-test screen.

An absent unofficial score does not, by itself, mean there is a problem or that official reporting will be delayed. Check the expected official date before treating the missing display as an issue. Likewise, a number you saw after testing is not a substitute for the official report your program requires.

If you are unsure which parts of the assessment you took, use the Praxis Core guide to the Reading, Writing, and Math tests to distinguish them. Keep a separate record of the tests your program needs, rather than treating “Core completed” as sufficient detail.

While another required test is still ahead, full Praxis Core prep planned for launch organizes review across eight content categories. Choose practice according to the remaining test, without using an unofficial result to predict an unreleased score.

How do you find the release date and save the report?

Use this sequence before contacting ETS about a missing result:

  1. Check the appointment details. Identify the exact test, test date, and delivery method. Use those same details in the ETS score calendar.
  2. Look at the pending score card in your account. ETS displays an estimated reporting date there and during scheduling. Record that date alongside the test name.
  3. Return to your account when notified. The email alerts you to availability; the official report is in your account.
  4. Download and save the report. Keep a clearly named copy with your application records, and check that it contains the result you were expecting.
  5. Compare it with the program's requirement. ETS reports the score and recipient-based pass status, along with other score information. Use the Praxis Core passing-score guide for interpreting the requirement rather than guessing from the score alone.

If the expected date has passed and the report is still unavailable, contact ETS with the appointment details and the date shown in your account. Avoid diagnosing the cause from a blank screen. Keep your institution informed if its deadline is approaching.

How do you send scores and verify recipients?

ETS registration lets you select up to four agencies or institutions to receive scores for free. Choose the required recipients while registering, then check them well before testing. Ask your program for the exact recipient it expects, including whether a separate licensing agency also needs the result.

Do not assume automatic reporting covers every destination. ETS says automatic reporting depends on the jurisdiction. Verify the recipients in your registration and confirm requirements directly with the institution or agency.

ETS's current materials contain inconsistent wording about when free recipient changes close. Do not rely on an after-test grace period. If you discover a missing or incorrect recipient close to the appointment, contact ETS for the available options before assuming the correction will be free.

Additional score reports cost $50 per recipient, are nonrefundable, and can be ordered online or by phone, according to ETS, checked November 3, 2026. Recheck the current price before ordering. Confirm the destination and whether it still needs a report before paying.

After release, ask the program to confirm that it has received and matched the required scores to your file. Saving a personal copy is useful, but ask whether the institution requires delivery from ETS. Treat its confirmation as the final step in your recipient check.

How long can ETS report your scores?

ETS says Praxis scores are reportable for ten years. That reporting period does not establish how old a score your particular program will accept. Before ordering an older report, give the program the test name, code, and test date and ask whether those results meet its current requirement.

If it accepts them, verify the recipient and arrange any needed delivery. If it requires a new test, confirm exactly which part is needed before restarting preparation. For a Math requirement, the Praxis Core Math guide explains the tested skills and preparation priorities.

For refreshing material after time away, full Praxis Core prep planned for launch includes 450 flashcards for recall practice. Whether an older report is accepted remains the institution's decision; refreshing knowledge is a separate preparation task.

What should you do if your program's deadline is close?

Write down the institution's score-receipt deadline, the ETS estimated release date, and the recipients you selected. Then ask the program what must be received by its deadline and how long it needs to process the report. If those dates do not fit, contact the program promptly about its options; do not assume an unofficial result will satisfy the requirement.

For a test you have not yet booked, use the Praxis Core registration timeline to work backward from the required receipt date. The free Praxis Core study plan can help organize preparation around the appointment you select.

If another required subtest remains, try the 20 free Praxis Core practice questions to identify material that needs review. For a larger practice resource, full Praxis Core prep planned for launch includes 1,200 questions for further review.

Your next administrative step is concrete: confirm the release date in ETS, confirm the correct recipients, and obtain confirmation from the program that its score requirement is complete.
