NCLEX Quick Results: How Long They Take and What They Mean
Quick Results are unofficial NCLEX results available to eligible U.S. candidates after two business days. Your nursing regulatory body provides the official result.

Eligible candidates seeking U.S. licensure may be able to purchase unofficial NCLEX Quick Results two business days after the exam if their nursing regulatory body participates. Quick Results are not an official license result and do not authorize you to practice; only your nursing regulatory body sends the official result.
How long do Quick Results take?
The official NCLEX Quick Results page says eligible results may be available two business days after the exam.
The service applies only when:
- you are seeking licensure in the United States;
- your nursing regulatory body participates;
- the result is available in your candidate profile.
The service requires a fee. The official page notes that a card is charged only if results are available.
How to access Quick Results
NCLEX directs candidates to:
- sign in to the Pearson candidate website;
- find Quick Results under My Account;
- select Purchase if the result is available;
- complete and confirm the order;
- view the result on the receipt page.
Use the current instructions in your candidate profile because account labels can change.
Are Quick Results official?
No. Quick Results are explicitly described as unofficial.
Your nursing regulatory body sends the official result, generally within six weeks. The official result is the one used for licensure decisions.
Quick Results do not:
- authorize you to work as a licensed or registered nurse;
- replace your nursing regulatory body's notice;
- change any remaining licensure requirements;
- provide a detailed score report for a passing result.
Why might the option not appear?
The most common official reasons are:
- your nursing regulatory body does not participate;
- two business days have not passed;
- your result is not yet available;
- you are not in the eligible U.S. licensure group.
Check the participating-body list on the official Quick Results page. Do not assume that a missing link is a pass or fail signal.
What if more than six weeks pass?
NCLEX directs candidates who have not received official results after six weeks to contact their nursing regulatory body.
Pearson VUE test-center staff and NCSBN do not release individual exam results to candidates.
