The EPPP is the licensing exam ASPPB provides to psychology boards in the US and Canada. See what Part 1 and Part 2 measure, who requires each, when candidates usually test, and what the fall 2027 switch changes.
Read the guideRegistering for the EPPP starts with your licensing board, not ASPPB. Follow the steps from board approval to a Pearson VUE seat, and see every fee, from the $691.88 Part 1 attempt to rescheduling, sample exams and score transfers.
Read the guideASPPB's integrated EPPP replaces Part 1 and Part 2 for first-time candidates in fall 2027, after a March–April 2027 beta. See the timeline, which version your situation puts you on, the new format and domains, and what ASPPB hasn't announced yet.
Read the guideASPPB doesn't set a study length for the EPPP. Size yours from your weekly hours and testing window, weight it by the eight Part 1 content areas, and follow an 8-, 12- or 16-week schedule that ends in full-length timed practice.
Read the guideEPPP Part 1 has 225 multiple-choice questions, 175 of them scored, in 4 hours 15 minutes with no scheduled break. See the session timeline, the pace you need, how pretest items and guessing work, and the test-center rules that can cost you your seat.
Read the guideASPPB recommends a scaled score of 500 on EPPP Part 1 for independent practice and 450 for supervised practice, on a 200–800 scale. See how scaling and equating work, why there's no fixed percentage, how boards apply the cut, and what your test-center report shows.
