Where to Take the ATI TEAS: ATI, PSI, Campus, or Remote

Delivery is a transcript decision

Where you sit the TEAS is a policy choice as much as a logistics choice. Some programs will not accept a remote transcript. ATI’s four options, when the school uses ATI, are:

• TEAS at ATI remote — home, ATI proctor, you send scores, times in central time
• TEAS Online at Institution remote — home, school proctor, scores auto-send to that school
• TEAS at Institution in person — campus or designated center, school proctor, scores auto-send
• TEAS at PSI — PSI center or PSI remote after you pay ATI and schedule with PSI; you send scores

How to pick among allowed options

If only one format is allowed, take that one. Convenience is not a waiver.

If campus and remote are both allowed, ask which transcript the admissions committee actually prefers. “Accepted” and “preferred” can differ. Get it in writing.

If you need the score at more than one school, confirm each school accepts the administration you are about to buy. A PSI remote seat that School A loves can be useless to School B.

In-person seats add travel and a fixed start time. Remote seats add device risk and a room you must control. Neither is officially “easier.” ATI does not publish a difficulty ranking by location.

Exam-day ID and calculator rules still apply in every format. Cost can differ when a campus bundles extra fees.

Mistakes that waste the fee

Paying for TEAS at ATI remote because a friend did, then learning your program only accepts on-campus TEAS.

Creating two ATI accounts to “try both.”

Assuming Version 4 campus scores can be sent everywhere—they cannot, per ATI.

Skipping the remote system check, then missing the appointment. Missed exams are not refunded.

After you choose

Save the confirmation, time zone, and proctor type. If the school auto-receives the score, you still may need extra transcripts for other applications.

If device anxiety is the issue and campus is allowed, pick campus. If travel is the issue and remote is accepted, complete the technical check a day early.
